Sightseeing in Voss, Norway On my first free day in Voss, monday 21st April, I walked around in Voss and my first excursion was to the Bordals Gorge , where you can see the waterfall and read about the formation about the gorge, with great views over Voss area. Berglien house, where the Berglien family resided and statues over the famous sons, artists. Bergslitræet in Voss is a small museum dedicated to the artist brothers Knud and Brynjulf Bergslien, who were born and raised there. Knud was a painter best known for Birkebeinerne , showing skiers rescuing Prince Haakon in 1206—a famous image in Norway’s history. Brynjulf was a sculptor, most known for the bronze statue of King Karl Johan in front of Oslo’s royal palace, unveiled in 1875. Both brothers played key roles in Norway’s national romantic art.
